AT&T U-Verse IPTV gets a big dose of live Basketball

Around 2

Published: 4 November, 2010

Around 2.7 million US homes have already found a good reason for buying the AT&T U-Verse IPTV service in the US, but if they wanted another good reason, more live sport would be it. This week U-Verse has added NBA TV, the US dedicated Basketball service to its roster of channels.

AT&T cut the deal with NBA Digital and as AT&T gets more revenues from TV, expect it to have the justification to cut more sports deals. This will give customers access to the NBA season through live games and is added to the U-Verse lineup at no extra charge.

NBA TV is the NBA's 24-hour television network, and if you are a basketball ban it offers 275 live games throughout the year, more than any other professional sports league TV network. The network is a fan's all-access channel for everything basketball, delivering games, breaking news and scores, in both standard and high definition and already reaches 55 million US homes, around half of all homes there.
